Common questions

Aren't log burners being banned?+

No. Modern Ecodesign stoves are legal to buy, fit and use, including in smoke control areas like most of Greater Manchester, as long as the stove is Defra-approved and you burn the right fuel. Every stove we fit meets the rules, and we'll explain exactly what you can burn.

Can I have one if I don't have a chimney?+

Usually, yes. If there's no chimney we can fit a freestanding stove with a twin-wall flue through the wall or roof. We'll check what's possible at your free survey.

How much does it cost?+

It depends on the stove and how much work your fireplace needs. Our complete stove packages (stove, boarded chamber, real oak beam, hearth, liner and full installation) start from £2,999, subject to a home survey. 0% finance is available.

Who fits it?+

Our own fitting team does the whole job: opening up the chimney breast, liner, hearth, beam and plaster finish. Your installation is signed off with a certificate, and we leave everything clean and tidy.

Can I see the stoves first?+

Yes. Our showroom at 328–330 Hyde Road, Denton has a big range of fires and stoves on display from the leading brands. Open Monday to Friday 8–5 and Saturday 8–4.
